Founded in 2011, AlphSZ boasts over a decade of experience. In a move sure to boost empowerment in Eswatini, AlphSZ Limited- formerly known as Sanlam Investment Management Swaziland- acquired the remaining 65% of the business having already owned 35%. The management buy-out has converted the organisation into a 100% locally-owned company which will certainly usher in a strong growth chapter for the company. ‘Alph’ is short for Alpha which signals the highest levels of performance in investment terms and is symbolic of the standards of excellence the company strives for.

Dumisile Judith Ngwenya

Chairperson
Dumisile Judith Ngwenya is a retired financial leader from the Kingdom of Eswatini, with extensive experience in accounting and treasury management. She holds an MSc in Leadership and Change Management from Leeds Metropolitan University and several qualifications in commerce and accounting.

Throughout her career, Dumisile served in key roles, including Accountant General and Deputy Accountant General, where she provided strategic leadership and managed government financial operations. As Chief Financial Officer at the National Maize Corporation, she ensured compliance with international accounting standards while overseeing financial reporting and cash flow management.

André van Eeden

Non-Executive Director

With a proven track record in property development and construction project management across sub-Saharan Africa,

He has successfully delivered numerous projects within budget and timeline. From 2015 to 2019, as Development Manager at Eris Property Group, He managed the development of projects in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Swaziland.

Sharon de Sousa

Non-Executive Director
Sharon de Sousa is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in the Swaziland Sugar Industry. Born on September 17, 1970, in Manzini, Swaziland, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Swaziland and a National Vocational Qualification in Accounting from the Association of Accounting Technicians. Sharon currently serves as the x at the Swaziland Sugar Association, where she oversees marketing strategies and logistics to maximize sales revenue.
Roger Stewart

Roger Stewart

Head : Finance

Roger is the Head Finance at AlphSZ Limited. He is responsible for ensuring that the financial department runs smoothly  and that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for in accordance with Generally Accepted Principles of Accounting.   Produce financial statements that are comply  with IFRS Accounting Standards and the Companies Act of Eswatini. In addition to ensuring that proper records are kept the role also requires preparing management accounts for executive management and ultimately the board in a manner that assists them to run the business optimally

 

Duma Zwane

Non-Executive Director

Duma Zwane is an experienced finance professional based in Manzini, Eswatini. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Swaziland (1989) and a Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies from the University of Botswana and Swaziland (1981), Duma has built a solid foundation in finance and accounting.

Group Chief Executive AlphSZ: Project Oversight
Thandile is an entrepreneur and the Group Chief Executive Officer of AlphSZ (formerly known as Sanlam Investment Management Swaziland Limited), following the recent management buy-out of the Sanlam Group, who continue to be an exclusive partner in traditional asset management. The Sanlam Group entered the Swazi market at her invitation as an empowerment transaction in 2011. AlphSz assets under management are in the region of 3 billion Rands.

Front Desk Administrator

Nomfundo Mabuza is AlphSZ’s Front Desk Administrator. She oversees the day-to-day functioning of the office, ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly. She also provides support to staff and management, including managing communication channels, such as phone calls and emails. She also ensures that AlphSZ’s office and premises are kept clean at all times whilst acting as the company messenger.

Professional Assistant
Nompumelelo is currently serving at Alphsz Limited as a Professional Assistant to the Executives. In her role, she manages diaries, coordinates travel arrangements, organizes both internal and external meetings, and plans office events.

She also focuses on procurement, sourcing new supply vendors, and overseeing routine maintenance for office equipment. Her tenure at Alphsz has honed her skills in time management, proactivity, and organization.

With over five years of experience, including her previous role as a receptionist at Datanet Network, Nompumelelo is committed to contributing to the company’s growth and success in every aspect.

Hillary is the Head : Legal and Compliance Officer of AlphSZ Limited. He is responsible for compliance, promoting transparency, mitigating liabilities and fostering a culture of integrity within the Company. He is a compliance and governance professional responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate governance principles, ethics, laws, codes, rules, and regulations.

Possessing effective organisational skills and proficiency with administration and practical tasks.
